Radio Station FM Transmitter for Church

Published:2020/4/17 11:59:36 Visits:
Churches are finding different ways to reach their congregants, while making sure they are protecting them from the coronavirus.

"We decided we had to come up with a new way to do worship, and so we came up with drive-in worship," said Pastor Rob Spicer, a senior pastor at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Bowling Green.

Using an F.M. transmitter that covers just their parking lot, Pastor Rob preaches to hundreds of people, as they pull up, and dial in to 95.1.

"We were looking for an alternative that would allow us to still be together as a church, but still keep everybody and keeping folks in their cars, seems to be the way to do it," Pastor Spicer said.

Since starting the new services last Sunday, Pastor Spicer says they have already seen more members than before.

Although anyone is welcome at the drive-in, their goal isn't to take members away from other churches.

Just like St. Mark's other churches are adjusting to share the gospel.

Even though these new ways of preaching have been an adjustment for both churches, each are just thankful to still be up and running.

"t's different. I have not been trained to talk to a bunch of dashboards and windshields, but it really is exciting," Pastor Spicer said.

"This is reminding us that what we have, and what we sometimes take for granted is so beneficial for us," said Pastor Kleimola.
